About Me

I am a plant scientist with a hobby, in my work life I'm in the horticultural industry so I get to think about and be in crops all the time. At the moment this is mostly the Macadamias.

I am fascinated by how plants interact with each other and other species in the environment. 

Artistically I love their form, structure and colour, and I am constantly amazed by adaptations made by plants to fill a unique niche in the environment.

In my drawing I focus primarily on flowering plants because I can't resist a good bloom or fruit, and I love the rich colours and contrasts on show.

I find drawing a great way to tune out of the stresses of every day life.
